After a task is assigned to you, the next step, before solving the issues, will be understanding what the issue is in order to know what the best approach is going to be.
Where to find the reasons of the suspensions
There are two main places where we can find the reason that led to the suspension of an ASIN
In order to review the ASIN, open the corresponding seller account, indicated in the task.
Choose from the following section Performance > Performance notification – here, we should find the detailed reason that led to the suspension, this being the most crucial step in choosing the proper approach to solve the problem
After you have seen what the reason of the suspension go in Performance > Account Health – here you will see if there is an appeal button where you can send the future POA that you are going to create to address how the issue was solved, and what are the steps taken to prevent it from happening again in the future, plus the required documentation, when needed
If you want to see if there is a documentation request for an ASIN, you can go to Performance > Account Health > Product Compliance Requests > Documentation Requests > when you click on it, it will take you to another page where you will if an ASIN has a documentation requirement
Alternative ways to find the reason of a suspension
Another place where certain issues can be found, the more particular ones, related to Product Safety most of the time, is the Help > Case log > Search by ASIN/case ID/Needing Attention
Look for the ASIN in the bar “search” found on the main page from Seller Central in the upper right corner.
Look for the Asin in Manage Inventory -> Stranded Inventory -> Search by ASIN
Select Refresh Inventory from the drop-down menu
Where can you find the cases
If you have a case ID, and you want to search it in Seller Central, you go to Help > Case log > Search Case ID
When you only have the ASIN, and you want to see if there is an open case for it, you go to the Help > Case log > Search by ASIN
If you want to find a listing and to do an attributes analysis
When receiving a task, an ASIN that has an issue, or more, will be assigned to you, in order to find it you can:
Copy the ASIN > paste in the search bar from SC > click Edit and you will see all the listing attributes that have to be checked in order to solve the issue the ASIN/s is/are having
Copy the ASIN > go to Inventory > Manage Inventory > Paste > click Edit and you will see all the listing attributes that have to be checked in order to solve the issue the ASIN/s is/are having
How to see if the ASIN is in a variation and what is the parent ASIN of that variation
Search the ASIN using one of the above methods > if when the ASIN is going to be shown to you, on the left side there is a gray line, that means it has a variation
In order to find the parent you have to Search the ASIN using one of the above methods > Edit > Variations > click on the SKU > copy the ASIN that you get > Search the ASIN using one of the above methods > click the drop down to see the rest of the variation
